The Schwenks Farm
The main place D.J. is throughout the book is the farm. The reason for this is that D.J. is working most of the book. This farm isn't your average farm with piggies and ponies and such, this farm has broken machines and nasty barns which D.J. has to fix. This farm also has acres and acres of fields. Another thing this farm has is tractors and of course cows. They are unable to keep these cows because of their tight budget and Mr. Shcwents is not able to attend the farm he could have made luscious and beutiful.

The Alley near Town
This is usally where D.J. and her friends hang out and see a movie and such. This was also where  D.J was  taunted by Brian and his friends which leads to the conflict of the family not having enough money to support themselves.

Time Setting
The time setting is modern day. The book shows this because they have televsions that are up to date modern day houses, cars, and even cellphones.

Town
The town setting takes place in Redbend a small town located in Winconsion.
