Dairy Queen

About the Author

Cathrine Gilbert Murdock was born in Charleston South Carolina and grew up in a small town in Conneticut. She lived with her sister, Liz, which is now a very famous writer. She wrote the novel Eat, Pray, Love. When she lived in Conneticut, she had a farm with an ancient televison, some honeybees, two goats, and some really ugly Christmas trees.

Although she mentions football and basketball in most of her novels, she never played any sports growing up. Nor did she live on a real farm. But she ran cross country track badly and she usally read as a child her sister wrote most of her childhood.
Cathrine also wrote the following: Off Season, Front and Center, and Princess Ben.

She now lives with her two kids and other than writing one of her main hobbies is gardening. If you would like to know more information about Mrs.Murdock please visit her website at
